Wet Taps

Wet tapping is a very convenient and cost effective way of connecting ("tapping") a new pipe in to an existing pressurized line without interruption of service. There is no need to drain, refill and chlorinate the system just to make a connection. Wet tapping is a safe and cost effective to making a tie in. (All photographs in this page are actual SPS work done in the past).

Wet Taps can be performed on the following types of pipe:
  • Copper

  • Stainless Steel
  • Transite/ACP
  • Cast Iron/Pit Cast
  • Ductile Iron
  • PVC
  • HDPE

Available Sizes 3/4" ‚ 12" (larger sizes available upon request)

Maximum Rated Working Pressure 500psi
